Heidi Baletic is a London based scriptwriter and novelist. She studied Screenwriting at the Academy of Drama Arts, Belgrade and King's College & RADA, London, and is an alumni of Serial Eyes TV writing programme in Berlin. She wrote for Fox Kids, Radio Television of Serbia, Treci Kanal and co-operated with Sky Atlantic, Canal+, Warp films and BBC ( "Casualty" Shadow Scheme). Heidi was selected for Guiding Lights Filmmakers Scheme supported by UK Film Council where she was mentored by Nick Hornby. She wrote the script for a feature film "Take a Deep Breath" directed bygd Dragan Marinkovic (Best Foreign Language Film award at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival ). Her original play "Dead Man's Coat" was staged in London and Belgrade and was produced as a TV drama for Radio Television of Serbia. Heidi's adaptation of Danilo Kis's novels - "The Timetable of Andreas Sam" was staged at Yugoslav teaterpjäs Theatre. Her novel

The Slava is exclusive custom of the Serbian Orthodox Church believers, each family has one patron saint that they venerate on their feast day. The Serbian Orthodox Church uses the traditional Julian calendar, as per which Christmas Day (December 25) falls currently on January 7 of the Gregorian calendar, thus the Serbs celebrate Christmas on January 7, shared with the Orthodox churches of Jerusalem, Russia, Georgia and the Greek Old Calendarists.
