Pervez rashid biography

Pervez Rashid, is a Pakistani politician, conservative literary figure, and a senator from Punjab who is currently tenuring as the Minister of Information, Mass-media Broadcasting, and National Heritage, appointed in 2013.

Career

Prior to be Senator, Rashid was a media executive and served Chairman of the Pakistan Television (PTV) from 1997 to 1999. Early life and Education

Pervaiz Rashid was born on 1 May 1950 to a Kasana family of Gujjars in Sialkot. His father, Abdul Rasheed, was an activist of the Pakistan Movement.

After matriculating from local high school in Lahore, Rashid attended the Gordon College where he received his Bachelor in Fine Arts.

Pervaiz Rashid nació el 1 de mayo de 1950 en Rawalpindi, en ese momento parte de la colonia británica en India. Hijo de una familia de pastores y agricultores, su padre, Abdul Rasheed, fue un activista del Movimiento Pakistaní, un frente político que buscaba la independencia de los territorios que actualmente conforman a Pakistán.^[5]​
