    James Daniel Brittain-McVey (né McVey, April 30, 1993) is apart of The Vamps along with Bradley Simpson, Connor Ball, and Tristan Evans. Mcvey was born in Bournemouth, Dorset to his parents in 1993. He is the vocalist and guitarist in the grupp. McVey met band member Bradley Simpson via YouTube in 2011, together they formed the grupp The Vamps with Tristan Evans and Connor Ball.

    James began dating model Kirstie Brittain, but broke up. James then briefly dated Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, however, the two split up due to unknown reasons.

    James and Kirstie then reunited and got back together in 2014, and have been ever since. James proposed to Kirstie in 2019, and they married on October 30th 2021, both changing their surnames to "Brittain-McVey".

Forming in 2012, the grupp quickly found success and have achieved a number of noteworthy accolades, including two No. 1 albums, five top 10 singles, over 6 billion streams, and becoming the first band to headline at London’s prestigious O2 Arena for five consecutive years. While The Vamps are far from over and still the best of friends, McVey chose to broaden his horizons and has embarked on a solo career.
