If you’re like me, then you’ve already spent way too much time on YouTube watching not-entirely-clear one-camera videos from summer domestic competitions. You rejoiced when the second tier ISU Challenger Series began in mid-September and competitions were streamed online. But the real highlight of the fall will be when the elite six-stop ISU Grand Prix series kicks off on October 23. That’s when we finally get to watch the matchups we’ve been looking forward to since the athlete assignments were announced in mid-June.

Christina Beier (born June 9, 1984 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino born German former competitive ice dancer. She competed with her brother William Beier. She briefly stopped competing with her brother and competed with partner Tim Giesen for one season. Beier & Beier are four-time (2005–2006, 2008, 2010) German national champions.
Career
[edit]The Beiers moved from the Philippines to Germany in 1990.[1] Christina Beier began skating when she was seven. She was a singles skater for two years and then took up ice dancing with her brother William Beier.[2] They were the 2005–2006 and 2008 and 2010 German national champions.
They did not compete in 2006/2007 season because Christina was suffering from a foot injury. In February 2008 they withdrew from the 2008 World Championships because of injury.
In May 2008, the Beiers announced the end of their dance partnership. Christina Beier teamed up with Tim Giesen

William Beier (born November 2, 1982, in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino born German former competitive ice dancer. He competed with his sister, Christina Beier. They are four-time (2005–2006, 2008, 2010) German national champions, and represented Germany in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
The Beiers moved from the Philippines to Germany in 1990.[1] William Beier began skating when he was eight. He was a singles skater for two years and then took up ice dancing with his sister, Christina Beier.[2]
In 2004, the couple changed trainers and training facilities, training with Martin Skotnický in Oberstdorf.
In May 2008, the Beiers announced the end of their dance partnership. They teamed up again following the 2008-09 season and qualified for the Winter Olympics. The Beiers ended their competitive career in 2010.
